The mission of Manchester Recreation is to enhance the quality of life for all Manchester residents. This is accomplished by providing a comprehensive program of recreational opportunities for all ages, ability levels, and provides safe, attractive, well maintained, well managed parks and recreation facilities.

Earl Yost Tennis Classic

The Manchester Park and Rec Department invites all residents and non-residents to compete in the 21st Annual Earl Yost Classic. It will be held on July 12-15, 2018. Registration is due by July 8th.

Manchester Youth Sports Alliance

The mission is to develop networking opportunities and partnerships within the youth programs in town and Manchester High School Athletics with the ultimate goal of improving our athletic programs and enhancing the experiences for our youth throughout every level in the town of Manchester.

Fitness in a Flash

Last year the students who participated in the Manchester Recreation Department's FLASH after school program at Bennet 6th Grade Academy set out to design a website and DVD video that would encourage young people to develop positive and healthy lifestyles. We are excited to announce that the final product, Fitness In A Flash, is complete and ready to be released!

OurParks Gear & Bike Shop

The onsite OurParks Gear and Bike Shop is located in the building formerly known as the Charter Oak warming hut. Open 5:30-8:30 PM summer weeknights, the shop stocks OurParks and town merchandise, including hoodies, hats, and shirts, as well as water and other summer supplies. The Shop serves as the headquarters for Charter Oak's Yellow Bikes Program.

Yellow Bike Program

Summer bikesharing program for Manchester residents. Bikes are available M-F, 5:30-8:30 PM to residents with an active Recreation membership card. (Riders under 18 years of age must have a consent & waiver form completed by a parent or guardian once per season.)

Designed to inform you of important events and information happening in the Recreation Department.
